Overview
When the liver fails because of advanced cirrhosis, some liver cancers or acute liver failure, transplantation may be the only lasting treatment. Not every patient is a candidate, and deciding early is important. Dr. Warid offers a structured transplant evaluation, takes part in assisted liver transplant surgery and provides long-term follow-up after transplant, working with the transplant team, hepatologists and the family.

- Decompensated cirrhosis — fluid in the abdomen, bleeding, confusion or jaundice
- Selected early liver cancer in a cirrhotic liver
- Acute liver failure
- Patients already transplanted who need surgical follow-up

The procedure / অপারেশন পদ্ধতি
Evaluation covers liver severity scores, heart, lung and kidney fitness, infection screening, nutrition and family or donor assessment for living-donor transplant. Where transplant is appropriate, the patient is guided through the pathway with a partner transplant centre. If transplant is not suitable, other treatment options are discussed openly.
